Family Photos

These are some great families that I am truly blessed to know. I was given the opportunity to take photos of them recently for their Christmas gifts to others. Enjoy.

Grapes

I haven’t updated my blog for a while (Sorry). So here are some photos I did for a website that a friend of mine is designing. Good-looking grapes are hard to find during this part of the year. They have all shriveled up and died. The vines are now yellow, no longer green. I was able to find some after I did some searching. Enjoy.

Love...

I had a recent assignment for school to convey Love. I choose two different couples for the shoot. A married couple and a couple that are dating. Both of them were good friends of mine so no one was uncomfortable in front of my camera and me. I wanted to portray each couple in a different way. Josh and Jenny were the married couple that I wanted to show a joy that they share and their love for one another. James and Janelle are dating and that is the look that I gave them, to portray them as they were on a date.

True love: “By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.” 1 John 3:16 ESV

I hope these photos show love, but only a love that can be found on earth. I pray that my Love for God would be more evident than anything else on earth that I care for. I desire my Love for Christ to be a true love desiring to glorify Him in my life.

Joshua Tree something so unusual and beautiful...

The beauty of the dessert is often not noticed. I totally forgot about it. A place that is known for heat, drought, and nothingness has true beauty when actually looked upon through a different perspective. On my recent trip to Joshua Tree with Kaleo (http://www.kaleo.ws/), I was able to see a beautiful creation that I had totally forgot about. It was my first trip to Joshua Tree. Driving into the national park I could see all of the different and unique rock formations, which was presented under the sunset. I don’t know how so many rocks could be placed in such a way that they were, unless they were placed there by something, someone who placed them there. The rock formations to me show a beautiful reflection of a maker, designer, artist and creator. Please enjoy my photos.

A lesson from Bob...

Last Sunday I had the opportunity to photograph Bob for a magazine. This issue they were doing was an environmental awareness with stories of people who are trying to help our environment. Bob was a retired man who had a habitat of plants and trees on his property in Romoland, CA. Near the end of our photo shoot. He started telling me about what he thought about life. He noted that we are only here for such a short period of time. One must pass on what they have learned in this life to others. He said that is one of the reasons he does this, so he can pass it on to the next generation. Bob also mentioned that we must be humble in everything we do. It was wonderful to hear that a man who could brag about his wonderful gardening skills and what he had worked on for many years say these things. It made me think about my life. It reminded me that I must be humble in all I do, and that I must pass on my gifts and dreams to the future generation. We wont live forever. We must make an impact in our world somehow to make it better for our future generations to come. I’m very glad that I was able to meet Bob and learn from the way he lives his life, to better mine and others.
